No matter what field of entertainment you are in,
if you want to catch the eye, you will need photographs to hand out to maintain profile.
Stage and screen performers need photographs
for an agent to submit for casting.
For more frequently requested
images, a radio presenter for example, signed photographs are usually quite small - to fit in a standard envelope -, these are often printed commercially in bulk.

Stage and screen promotion traditionally uses high
quality black and white photographs,
almost invariably 10 x 8(inches).
To maintain the quality of each image, only
original photographic prints are used. (any
casting agency or agent would be snubbed
by anything less).
Often special portraits are produced to target
a certain role or portray a specific look.
